family photos

Rich's sister Jerry asked for a family portrait for her birthday present this year. The sibs haven't had one taken since our wedding, and the cousins haven't since that infamous tae kwon do picture a few years ago.

We all met at Deedee's place in Danville after work to fluff and primp. My old friend Jenny, who is a fabulous photographer and owns a studio in Walnut Creek, met us there and then we ran over to the Danville library. There is a really great lawn area there, and a pergola over in the corner, surrounded by flowers and trees.

Jenny and her husband Rick did a great job finding shots, lighting, etc. and I just followed behind with my camera to record the process. My pics are on my Flickr, if you don't have access shoot me an email and I'll send you a pass.

It was a fun evening. After the pics we ran up to the new Back Forty in Pleasant Hill. Really nice new building! Good food, fun night. Good times :-)

What a pretty family!

Seeing as how there is only so much 'pretty' to go around, there is an ugly family somewhere missing theirs ..

PS. Anyone that says, "Whoops, I think we found the ugly family!" gets kicked in the throat.

Love ALL the shots AND the memories of them at all the birthday parties over the years! They're all alway so fashionable! Hmmm, trying to decide if Sammie looks more like dee dee or mary, I think a perfect combo of each.

Thanks everyone! They are a handsome lot, and we were having a great time. I'm with you Candace. Sammie is a perfect blend. She really just looks more and more like Rich all of the time.

I don't know if everyone is mellowing or if we (R & J)are just so much more relaxed and unhurried and open minded and basically a lot more fun to be around this last year, but all of our family gatherings in 2007 have been really great. It is one of the major blessings in our lives.
